The business, a rice and soybean farming operation, began in the late 1800's and is still in operation today. During high school, Warren had several opportunities that broadened his view of the world. Boys State, a spring break tour of Europe, and working two summers for an agriculture genetic engineering company were all great experiences. After graduating from Cross County High School, he attended Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas. After exploring various disciplines, Warren found economics and finance and has never looked back, receiving a degree in Finance from ASU. After a stint on the family farm he spent two years with
Advanced Asphalt, a specialty coating company, before joining Sharp Financial Services. He spent 81/2 years with Sharp, located in Jonesboro, Arkansas, becoming a partner in 2001. In the spring of 2006, he and his family relocated to open a Little Rock office, partnering with Chartwell Financial Group, headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee. Warren's education continued as he spent two years in the Strategic Coach Program. He is also a member of a national study group whose membership includes some of the top advisors in the United States. At his core, Warren is a teacher, researcher, writer, and coach. He takes great joy in helping clients unlock their potential both financially and beyond. He specializes in working with physicians, attorneys, and business owners/executives. His warm personality and keen sense of business have proved to be a winning combination. He was chosen by Northeast Arkansas Business Today as a Top 25 Outstanding Young Executive in 2006. He was also honored as Chartwell Financial Group's Advisor of the Year for 2005 and 2006. Warren is a member of the Jonesboro and Little Rock Chambers of Commerce and a 1999 graduate of the Leadership Jonesboro program and a current member of the Leadership Little Rock program. While in Jonesboro, Warren was a founding board member of Jonesboro Work Camp, a community-wide program where area youth groups come together to repair and paint low-income housing. Since relocating to Little Rock, Warren has become active in his church's children's ministry and volunteers with and serves on the board of Under Grace Ministries. Under Grace is taking Robert Lewis' A Quest for Authentic Manhood curriculum into the prison system. Warren is a member of the Downtown Little Rock Rotary Club where he serves as co-chair of the Partners in Education committee. A researcher at heart, Warren has embarked on a research project that started with his fascination with Dr. Thomas Stanley's research and book, The Millionaire Next Door. This has led him to write a combination of articles on leadership, decision-making, and integrity. To date he has interviewed just over 170 leaders. Warren's other hobbies include reading, golf, fishing, family trips to the beach, and backyard kickball with his kids. Warren and his wife Lea Angel, have been married for 16 years and have three children, Helen (age 8), Harrison (age 6), and Hattie (age 3). They attend Fellowship Bible Church, south campus.
